Private Christian School in Augusta, GA

Evans Christian Academy prides itself on its staff, students, curriculum, and ability to achieve each and every success and goal we set. What began as a home school in Augusta, GA, has now grown into its own building with superior surroundings that is ideal for a maximum learning environment. As a Private Christian School and college preparatory school, we give praise to God for all things wonderful that have allowed our school to grow at the pace that we are. As we continue to maintain our small class sizes, we continue to add more and more to accommodate each student that desires an education with small classes sizes, flexibility with schedules, college preparatory classes, all in a smaller private school!

We also provided fine arts education!

With the best staff in Augusta, GA we are able to offer our students and families every subject they can imagine, with plenty of extracurricular activities to go along with our core basics for achievement. Multiple languages, Art fine arts education, Drama, and Physical Education are many alternatives to core courses that we offer our students in conjunction with their learning, or separately from their other academic pursuits.

The National Honor Society hold many of our young talent as proud members to their organization. With talent shows, career days, and spirit weeks, our school steps outside of traditional boundaries while engaging our academic pursuits with vigor and excitement each and every day.

With worship as an everyday part of our day, we feel that God's wisdom and guidance have developed our visions for our school to every dream that we have envisioned. His guidance continues to work through our staff and students to make our school environment one that any student would desire to be a part of. Our small classrooms and controlled environments allow for an active participation of all of our parents in their child's educational pursuits, whether it's every day, or at their leisure. We welcome our parents input into everything that we do, as we need successful parenting for successful academic endeavors.

Our homeschool environment allows our students to take advantage of our entire curriculum as a whole, or to take part in individual classes as they see fit, or just need a little extra help in. Our one on one attention to our students will help them succeed to their maximum academic potential, without traditional school pressures and overload.

Evans Christian Academy has grown immensely over the 20 years we have been in business, and we are so very proud to welcome each and every new class of students into our warm and loving environment. We truly want to make a difference in the lives of children and set them off into the world and with the solid foundation of academic excellence that every child deserves. Our Christian environment gives our students the solid foundation they need to step into the world confidently and prepared for what lies ahead in every aspect of their life, whether that means Graduation at ECA, or just a supplemental to their continued educational efforts or extracurricular activities.

As homeschooling became a mainstream option for education, Mrs. Freida Lachman began not only teaching her son, but taking on the role of educator for others as well. As the job grew, so did the courses and the need for space!

Evans Christian Academy was formed at In Focus Ministries, where it remained for 12 years. The school continued to grow until it outgrew the facilities there and the search began for a new location suitable for this unique environment. A short stop at Crossbridge Baptist allowed the search, prayers and finding of the property for our own brick and mortar building to house our new school, with new classrooms, lounges, cafeteria, outdoor activity area and any goal we set for our new visions. Over 200 students have graduated over a span of 20 years. New standards and visions are created each and every day and we await with great pride what will become our next focus to accompany our students on their path to adulthood and learning.

We are forever grateful for the vision of Mrs. Freida Lachman and all that she has worked to achieve in our Christian facility. Our dreams develop everyday and we can't wait to see what each new year brings us.
